Publication and new conference plans

Greetings all – Routledge has now published The Ecstatic and the Archaic (2017) edited by Paul Bishop and Leslie Gardner.

The International Journal of Jungian Studies (IJJS) also published a special issue of papers from the conference that were pointed more at the clinical aspects of the issues taken up at the conference.

Our next plan is a conference in early July 2019 in London at the Freud Museum: ‘The Descent of the Soul: katabasis and depth psychology’ with its own site:

Ecstatic archaic thought and analytical psychology 


Freud Museum event was successful among 40+ people who attended – papers were diverse and expanded parameters. 

The next step is getting papers published and we’ll be contacting presenters. 

Check in here once in a while since we will be alerting you about developments. Several people mentioned we should do this again … And I’d be pleased to organise again.
